Build psychological performance like physical performance
The Philosophy
Performance is not an event, it’s a system.
Principle: Build a strategy that empowers decision-making.
Vision and mission define the collective temperament, skills, actions, and resources required for success. When mission clarity or consensus breaks down, every decision that follows compounds the error. The result is predictable: mission failure.
Principle: Build a culture that epitomises the pursuit of excellence.
Ways of working are the spoken and unspoken agreements that shape how people interact with themselves, each other, and their environment. When incentives or skills don’t align with the mission, the human system collapses into friction and fatigue: mission failure.
Principle: Build operational structures that enable swift execution.
Systems and processes, which include humans as integral components, are the guide rails that maintain focus, measure progress, and expose what works and what doesn’t. When the plan or resources are wrong, those rails give way. The consequence is: mission failure.
These principles form the foundation of my consulting approach. When performance, people, and process align, outcomes become predictable rather than accidental. The scale below shows how that alignment evolves from individual to organisational performance.
“I worked with Kenny at Heineken UK when Finance were going through a major transformation. He was quick to assimilate the nature and challenges of the business, supporting senior members of the Finance Management Team struggling with the pace of change. He has a rare combination of academic theory, very practical experience through his work in other organisations and his military background.”

Head of Procurement, Heineken UK
The Scale
Performance psychology aligns strategy, culture and execution
High performers think strategically, communicate decisively and rally others effectively, especially under pressure.
High performing teams think together, act with common purpose, leverage conflict and hold each other to account.
High performing organisations think systemically and align mindset with mechanics to deliver consistent results.
Most organisations mistake infrastructure for their system; software, hardware, offices, and tools. Yet these are inert without skilled human operators. Output quality mirrors input capability: technology performs only as well as the people behind it. Therefore, human operators are the unacknowledged core of any system. People provide the intelligence, process is the nervous system converting aspiration to action, and performance is the outcome. Any team or organisation can perform only at the level its collective psychology allows. Hence, performance psychology is the force multiplier. The framework below shows how.
I've worked with Kenny on an individual basis, as well as bringing him into my senior team to help overcome some challenges around change. The results have been excellent. If you need some help with change, growth or start-up, I can't recommend enough speaking to Kenny.

The Framework
The blueprint for sustainable high performance.
Turning philosophy into practice requires structure. The blueprint is a four-phase process designed to move individuals, teams, and organisations from aspiration to action, building skill, capability and repeatable high performance step by step:
Phase
Discover
Develop
Distill
Deliver
Focus
Through an audit of individual and collective understanding we will identify blindspots and points of friction in your strategy, culture, and processes that are denying you mission success.
Together we build a Peak Performance Toolkit, practical methods and measurable objectives. You will learn to use these tools as we collaborate to solve the problems identified in Discovery.
Through purposeful practice we convert understanding to instinct. By refining the skills and behaviours introduced in Development we deepen capability and accelerate performance improvement.
Completion of agreed objectives with measurable ROI. Each cycle operates through After Action Reviews (AARs) to validate results, ensure momentum and refine performance in real time.
Outcome
Clarity on the real constraints and the mindset shifts required for progress.
A shared toolkit, measurable objectives, and the capability to apply them independently.
Cohesive execution under pressure at pace; a framework everyone can follow.
Verified achievement, sustained performance & feedback loops driving continuous improvement.
This framework provides the structure. The next step is application, translating principles into practice within your unique environment. Whether leading a team, business, or performance programme, the objective remains: deliver measurable results.
“Kenny rapidly understands the situation and challenges many of the assumptions leaders base their decisions on. I have found this to be invaluable when developing, executing or supporting new initiatives and strategies.”

The Application
Deploy performance psychology principles to master your craft.
Discover what’s possible.
“Kenny is a turnaround specialist. In a very straightforward, direct and non-judgemental way, he helps individuals understand their behaviours, then how they work with and relate to others. And he does it so fast. It was life changing.”
